Best Baby Monitor
From my experience with baby monitors, I would say that the Graco iMonitor is the best one out there. It’s a digital baby monitor, which is very helpful because sound is clear and there’s practically no interference on the wavelength. Besides that, it’s a pretty affordable, though not cheap, baby monitor when compared with other baby monitors across the board.

Batteries and range
Although it says that it is advertised as having a 2000-foot (approx 609 meters) range, in real life I did not get that probably because our son’s room was upstairs and we were usually downstairs when using the monitor. Battery-wise, it comes with rechargeable batteries, which I like very much, however, I don’t think that 4 hours of battery life is quite enough (I am a new parent and tend to worry about every single little thing!).
Sound and light
At night we keep the receiver close by our bed by docking it on its docking station, which also serves as the battery charger. When our son cries, we can hear him audibly through the speakers, even at a low setting. I have read online that some people do not, however, and maybe that is personal as some people’s hearing is more sensitive than others. I also like the green light on the receiver, as it makes it super easy to find the receiver in the dark at night!
I love the Graco Digital iMonitor although Graco could make some improvements to future versions of this device. It has helped my husband and I get through the first year without due alarm, in relative assurance that our lovely son is safe and soundly asleep! (And emphasis will be on the safe! ?)
